cpascual
I am fairly new to AutoCAD and have never really tried rendering, but I want to start. I have shown the components of a sword I am messing around with. I at least want to add some material to the components and my question is how to I go about doing that. I remember when I was messing around with a free trial of AutoCAD 2011 they had a material palette, so I think I could have just set what my material is through that. But I am now using AutoCAD 2010 and I do not know if it has that because I have not seen it, so would I just need to create my own material and hope it comes out looking the way I want? Any advice would be awesome. Thanks.
Oppie
Hi, just press control and the number 3 then you have your Tool Palettes and there are the tabs for materials
Cad64
Oppie, if you look at the screenshot, he already has his tool palette open. Cpascual, when you installed Autocad, did you choose to install the materials library? It is an option. Right click at the top of the palette, where it says "Tool Palettes - All Palettes". This will open a pop up menu and you should be able to select "Materials" or "Materials Library".
