mshearer
By any chance, do you know where the page at the link is located? It's not on Autodesk's site any longer.
ReMark
Try this one instead. Same info just a different format. http://blog.jtbworld.com/2008/09/autocad-2009-slow-performance-tips.html
f700es
I always thought 2009 was slow. I remember going to it from 2008 and 2009 seemed to be just dog slow. It seemed that 2010 was a bit quicker in feedback and response in using commands.
ReMark
Had no problems to speak of using 2009 either at home or on my work computer.
f700es
I had the same system for 08, 09 and 10. I saw a definite slow down going from 08 to 09. 2010 seemed to be a bit more responsive. Was using a quadro based Dell workstation. 2.1 GHz Core2 Duo and 2GB of ram on XP Pro, oh the days
ReMark
I ran XP Pro with 4GB RAM (with the 3GB switch enabled and tweaked my virtual memory settings). This was on a Intel P3 based system. 3.0 GHz quad core.
