zeekay
I thought you figured it out on your own. My question about using Loft was directed at dtaylor and not at you. Thanks for your reply When I Modeled this bottle I face many problem with lemon shape bcoz I dont know which steps use to create this kind of bottle smothly. I used Extrude command with different path. If you do me more favor send me the tutorial link or video how to creatre and calculate this kind of bottle. I see Ur version of bottle is 1 object with lemon shape How u create that and when i use massprop on ur 3d bottle version is show me : ---------------- SOLIDS ---------------- Mass: 710134.8340 Volume: 710134.8340 Bounding box: X: 386.5078 -- 461.5544 Y: 83.8717 -- 149.1644 Z: -197.9823 -- 73.3740 Centroid: X: 424.0308 Y: 116.5180 Z: -87.4120 Moments of inertia: X: 18424188435.9468 Y: 1.3651E+11 Z: 1.3767E+11 Products of inertia: XY: 35085792103.8611 YZ: -7232772377.8426 ZX: -2.6321E+10 Radii of gyration: X: 161.0734 Y: 438.4404 Z: 440.3020 Principal moments and X-Y-Z directions about centroid: I: 3357046623.7811 along [1.0000 0.0000 0.0000] J: 3399400842.8785 along [0.0000 1.0000 0.0000] K: 346011983.2481 along [0.0000 0.0000 1.0000]

dtaylor
---------------- SOLIDS ---------------- Volume: 710134.8340 I got this using what you had set up for units. The number above is cubic millimeters. From that its an easy conversion mL.
JD Mather
..and make a this bottle tutorial step my step.. What is the thickness of the plastic wall (not at the cap fastening, but overall).
zeekay
My unit is decimal. I supose 1 unit of decimal factor is eqal = to 1 milimeter. Now I got the answer 1st conform the 3d model totally complete and Its one object. then use command and select object and enter ---------------- SOLIDS ---------------- Volume: 710134.8340 Now Divided Volume by 1000 V = 710134.8340 / 1000 = 710.13ml

zeekay
ya, i just turned that lemon shape into a closed polyline, then just scaled it down to what i needed at various points along the bottle. once i got to the top of the neck i just placed circles. then just lofted everything in the correct order. i just did everything roughly so its not perfectly exact buts its a close approximation and can lead zeekay in a direction if he wants more precise results But dtaylor if you share screen shot of modeling setp by step so that was really easy to understand
ReMark
No step by step is required. dtaylor outlined the basic procedure above. He also points out that it was a "rough" attempt to achieve the desired "lemon shape" of the bottle but more work would be required to get better results. The LOFT command is explained in your AutoCAD Help file as well as your Users Guide. If you search on the word LOFT here I'm sure you'll find further examples of how it works and its usefulness. JD Mather
But dtaylor if you share screen shot of modeling setp by step so that was really easy to understand How thick is the material?
zeekay
How thick is the material? JD The bottle thinkness in the working is about 0.25 or 0.35mm But i just need without thick bottle creation mether bcoz when we use massprop command in Autocad this show volume of mass. If we make bottle with thickness so the mass volumne is not exact same and the calculation of ml is not work. But i Just still need Tutorial how to model this like of bottle shape
JD Mather
But i Just still need Tutorial how to model this like of bottle shape If I bother to make Tutorial I need complete information. My curiosity would be the difference in volume of solid like previously offered in this discussion and true volume. Otherwise the problem doesn't interest me enough to take the time. ReMark
zeekay: Please provide JDM with the necessary information or withdraw your request for a tutorial. In America we have a saying "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." JDM has made you a very generous offer. I suggest you take him up on it or you may not see another offer like it in the future. JDM: no offense implied re: saying.
