Hi all you guys! Thank you in advance for this wonderful forum.

I used an oldest version of auto cad since I started with ver. 13 and then switch to 14th 2000 and the latest I used the architectural desktop ver 2003.

I am trying to make a big jump from that one to version 2010 and is a huge difference; everything is on other place and I need to find it again but I am an enthusiastic I learned everything in cad with friends (there was not a CAD class on my student times lol...) so one of all the questions I have is this:

I used to plot in ver2003 with the monochromatic style at the plot options menu but I cant find them in the 2010 version where are they? how can I print something in black only? or better I used all the colors on the plotting option on black (monochromatic) but the last five none, I am talking the gray colors I keep them on the original grayscale and then I can print in black an gray and something in color too. where can I find that stuff on 2010?

Thanks

Marco:cry:

Did you click the little arrow button in the lower right corner of the plot dialog?

Thank you for your reply I am blind8) or just I'm an old dog trying to learn new tricks, but what happen to me is that I am getting more scared because I still using everything in 2D hoping to jump 3D but finding everything on a different place.

I saw the menu you showed me on the picture and shows the monochrome layout missing and the other thing is that when I chose a window area to plot and click on preview the program shuts down and the only help I can get from windows is a message saying it was closed because this:

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.

DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you.

Thats all I got after plot an autocad message also saying (AutoCAD Application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Thank you guys for your help!!

Hey guys thank you for your help with other threads but guess that externalizing a problem out of my mind help to resolve it.

I already did it but I did restore the computer guess was a bug now cad and plotter are working fine.

Hope do not bother to much, I mean when I did learn CAD there was not internet and me and friends "played" to learn it as a video game (for all those who l like video games I am not).

Well if there's something else or if I see something here to help others I will be glad.

I am still "fighting" with the 2010 version but is just practicing I am going to dominate it as other previous versions.

Ciao
