how do i create template titles?

i want to be able to create a something in a drawing template so that every time i open up the template a pop up will open to ask me to put in the drawing number, title, date etc. can anyone help?

Its usual to have this stuff as block attributes in a border block and use attedit to fill them in.

 

Take a look at the drawing templates posted here, open one and use attedit, select the border to see what I mean.

Our template title block has 17 attributes but we just leave 1 with a value in it ("preliminary drawing") this way you just double click the attribute and it will open up the attribute editor automatically so you can fill in the rest.
