create a new excel file through visual lisp

Hi,

 

I know how to open and edit an existing excel file from inside viaual lisp code, but am not able to create a new one:?. Has anybody any idea?

When I try and run Txt2xls program, I get the following...

Command: TXTEXC

Connexion avec Excel 2000

Erreur : bad argument type: VLA-OBJECT nil

 

I guess program is not friends with my Excel 2000. What needs to be modified?
