cmorg123
i work for a large manufacturing company as a drafting intern. bassicly i run around a 1000000 sq2 facility with a clipboard and a drawing verifying that what was drawn 10 years ago is accurate. that said on one of my plumbing drawings it talks about somthing labeled FS. when you go to the legand to look it up it says its a floor sink they are located on the drawing near every AHU and are only about 6x6 but my boss thinks there supposed to be like an actual sink or a mop sink
hotrodz0321
6'x6' or 6"x6"? A floor sink is more or less a drain that is placed into the middle of the floor. It is not actually a sink that is in the floor, but it does allow water to flow through, and is more like a bathtub or shower drain than a sink. You can not get water out of a floor sink, nor do they have handles and spouts. They are simply there for the purpose of draining water, not getting water. Are there any drains located where the plans call for it?

eldon
For this particular one, I just typed floor sink into the search window and that is what it found. In fact I just tried the search on CadTutor's home page (top right), and it came up with the same thing
ReMark
One tip is to enclose the words being used to define the search in quotation marks. So, for example, a search for floor sink would be typed as "floor sink". Leaving out the quotes would return results based upon the individual words as well as the two words grouped together (i.e. - a lot more "hits").
