While trying to plot in AutoCAD LT 2009, when I select our PDF plotter (a .pc3 file) in the pulldown, AutoCAD immediately closes.

(Side note - never had this problem in pervious version AutoCAD LT 2006; and only my computer, others in office work great).

Any Ideas?

Do you have all fixes and updates installed?

Posted

I just installed the maintainence update - now I get this message:

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Voilation Reading 0x448d533c Exception at 7c910f1eh

Then it closed down.

So now you know what is wrong. Suggest go to Autodesk and search within Knowledge Base for this error. Hope it will get you solution.

But you can use program for anything else?

Do you try cad to pdf Autocad internal printer?

Try to add a new PDF plotter.Go to Options>plot and publish tab> add or configure plotters. Try to add a new PDF plotter name then try to plot from that plotter name and see if it still has that error.

-The knowledge base support has no info.

-I have tried several times to add another plotter with no success - program still closes down.

What is puzzling is that I am am to use this pdf printer in other programs, but not AutoCADLT2009 or Trueview. Others in my office can use this same pdf printer with success in AutoCAD. I have checked my settings to see if that match others and they do.
