faarax Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Forum.3D.dwg Thank all, This is my simple draw which I mostly fixed after you suggesting; I also anther drawing if anyone has a passion to look. Thank you Quote
faarax Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Would you have a pasion to look this. Thank you Quote
JD Mather Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 (edited) .... which I mostly fixed after you suggesting How much were you permitted (required?) to change on the original model or was it supposed to be exact? Your model doesn't look very much like original? The hole does not go through the large cylinder. The small cylinder is just resting on the bracked and will require welding (no fillets shown as on drawing). Small cylinder is skewed. Angle is not tangent. Angle of slot is not parallel with edge. Support rib missing. Fillets missing in triangular slot. Fillets missing in rectangular slot. Rectangular slot is in wrong location. 8mm holes are in wrong location (should be 45 not 40 from edge). R15 arc is in wrong location. I might grade something like this at about 5/100 (not good). Edited August 11, 2010 by JD Mather Quote
ReMark Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 (edited) Would you have a pasion to look this. Thank you Are you talking to me? I'll take a look at it shortly but from what JDM posted above I can already say I'm very much likely to agree with him 100%. How much training have you had using AutoCAD 3D commands? faarax: You, literally, have to go back to the drawing board. Your 3D model needs further work. Perhaps you would have benefitted from our input had you taken the time to ask questions. While we won't do the work for you we would be more than willing to share our knowledge and make suggestions that will help advance your skills. That's what we're here for. You have wasted a valuable resource. What else do you have for us to view in the meantime? Edited August 12, 2010 by ReMark Quote
JD Mather Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Are you really interested in learning how to model this part? I could walk you through the steps - but it would require two-way communication. (In otherwords you would have to actively participate in this discussion.) Quote
ReMark Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 faarax: JDM's generous offer should not be turned down. I'd take him up on it if I were you. Quote
faarax Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Dear JD Mather, I do appreciate for your generous offer, and I happy to take advantage of it. I have redone the Bracket, and this time I believe it is close to march the original drawing, thanks for JD Mather and Remark. Since I have limited training about 3D modeling, I have a more complicated drawing which will help me understand more about 3D modeling. I am going to attach the second drawing( a Piston) into this massage and old drawing also soon . Thank you so much! Quote
ReMark Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Looks like a challenging project. Good luck. Quote
JD Mather Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I have a more complicated drawing which will help me understand more about 3D modeling. Pick something easier - this part is too hard for a beginner. Trust me. Quote
