Are you referring to the hatch pattern within?

Why would you be stuck?

Polyline? Looks like a Hatch to me. :?

Can you provide a little more information about what you're trying to do?

I've changed the thread title to something more appropriate.

I did what the ex. showed me but when it says select destination or object I click on the area then scroll from corner to corner then when I click it nothing changes it says select destination or object again and vice versa.

Is the hatch actually a hatch or is it a block? Or maybe it's contained in an xref?

Click on it and check its Properties.

When I clicked on it and clicked on properties, above the general information it said polyline.

Then someone exploded the hatch.

best option is to delete the polylines and re-hatch it.

Is there a link or something you can post on here to help me out, I'll really appreciate it.

I have deleted the polylines and tried to re-hatch it, I went to hatch, selected the object and selected the area I wanted to be hatched. I picked the design and when I hit click ok, the pattern looks nothing like what I chose, is there something I am missing??

Almost sounds like the area is not totally enclosed and the hatch responds abnormally. Maybe try drawing a polyline around the area, not leaving any breaks in the line, then try hatching it. Then you could erase the polyline. I've had lots of trouble with areas that weren't completely enclosed. It's worth a shot.

did you try the "inherit properties" tool?

Yes, but I don't fully understand how to use it.

you click the tool then click on the hatch you want to duplicate. The pattern, scale and angle all then get updated to match the pattern selected.
