naitnaru Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi there. First of all I would like to thank you for allowing me in the forum. I have the following problem. How to draw isometrically, in 2d, this: I got this drawing in actual 2d the following and then usin view to see it isometrically. I tried to do it drawing with the basic octagon, I did it for seven with the isopolygon in red but the the isocircles don't fit, I did one and I copy them but they are not tangent, however in the original drawing in 2d and then seeing in a 3d view seems that it is posible. Please, if you have any idea how to draw isometrically the polygon (magenta) I am all ears. Many Thanks  Quote
rvpas Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi naitnaru, 1- I draw a circle (green) which has a radius equal to the edge of the polygon 2- I draw an isocircle (green) which has a same raius of precedent circle to get my radius "TIPS" To be sure to get a good radius I use 'cal for transparent use and RAD function see example below Command: ELLIPSE Specify axis endpoint of ellipse or [Arc/Center/Isocircle]: i Specify center of isocircle: Specify radius of isocircle or [Diameter]: 'cal >>>> Expression: rad >>>> Select circle, arc or polyline segment for RAD function: Resuming ELLIPSE command. Specify radius of isocircle or [Diameter]: 100 For construction see image below Bye Pascal Quote
