Mitre Grading Corners

Morning All.

 

Hopefully a quick and easy question (as is everything else Civil 3D !).

 

I have created some grading depicting a large rectangular hole in the ground which has a 1 in 1 side slope. However, when creating the grading, Civil 3D has offset a featureline for the top of the slope and filleted the corners. Therefore the final grading has rounded corners, which looks pretty but isn't really how I want it built.

 

Does anyone know of how to make the grading have mitred corners instead ?

The quick and easy answer - you can't. There is no option for changing the corners.

 

If you really need mitred corners, you'll need to do something else. One option might be to use a Corridor instead. Another might be to get your grading set, then replace the grading object with feature lines, which you can adjust to look the way you want.

As long as I know it can't really be done I'll not continue looking.

 

I'll just offset the feature lines and create an infill instead.
