CivilPrice Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I need a better grasp on creating construction notes with the Multileader annotation. My main problem is I need to make a Circular note with leader, and as well as defining the number of the note I need to add footage or northing & easting to the note as well. I know there is a way to create a note that is all one attribute where the lenght of the line adjusts with the length of the text & the leader moves with it... I just cant figure it out. a push in the right direction would be much appreciated!! There has to be a tutorial or something out there, and I dont know how I am missing it. Thanks Quote
Dana W Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Try the Multileader style manager. You can design your own there. When you click the Content tab, select block as the multileader type. It will give you a couple of choices, complete with notation attributes you can edit upon insertion, or you can go into the block editor and build your own call-out shape that can be attached via the User Block choice on the source block drop down list. See picture. Quote
lpseifert Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Try creating a Multileader Style with the Content Type = Block > Circle or look for the 'Tag - Imperial' toolpalette tool (found on the Annotation toolpalette) Quote
Gatekeeper101 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 create your own block to use on a multi-leader, in that block create your attributes an add one called notes. add "%%U" (Acad underline) prior of the text you want to have a line under. the line will strech as long as the text is hope this helps Quote
Dana W Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 yeah I was right in the middle of doing this... i think i am going to have to make one for right and left. im at work right now so I dont have much time to work on it at the moment. any other idea? i'll let you all know as soon as I figure it out. And show us a picture or drawing. I'd like to see exactly what you are going for. I think I know now what you mean, but not quite sure. Quote
CivilPrice Posted June 21, 2010 Author Posted June 21, 2010 Also, If I have text in a Multileader block how can I get the text to switch sides when I move the multileader. Going from left justified on the right side to Right justified on the left side. Quote
CivilPrice Posted June 21, 2010 Author Posted June 21, 2010 ok so here is the block... this is how I want it to look with a multileader. everything comes in fine, now I just need to know how to get the first value underlined... it does it in the block but not when I insert the multileader. Also, I would like to be able to move the block and have the text switch sides with the leader. I am thinking I am going to have to use the defalt in the define attributes and write something up in Diesel. Not to mention when my drawings are twisted the text is not coming in the same direction of the viewport. let me know if you what me to post more images. THANK YOU ALL!! Quote
Gatekeeper101 Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 have you tried to enter "%%U" prior to the text that you want to be underlined? Quote
CivilPrice Posted June 21, 2010 Author Posted June 21, 2010 yes... and it works in the block, but when I insert it as a multileader it does not have an underline, nor will it let me type in %%u in the field and make it work... it just shows up %%UMH#1 Im furious.... if I can get this to work I can save myself a whole day of work and take a long 4th of July Weekend. haha Quote
Danielle01 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Creating construction notes is a good idea. As it has become necessary to have a construction safety certification scheme card in all construction sites. Without this certificate you may put yourself and your colleague’s life at risk on a construction site. Ensure to include all safety norms related to site in the construction notes. Quote
