European Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Hi from a newbie. This is no doubt the wrong forum - but I'm having a problem with CutePDF Pro, and I see that you guys mention it now and then. And I have not been able to find a dedicated CutePDF forum. So ... My problem is that when I receive a PDF text file from a customer for proofreading, it occasionally contains a few pages of *white* text (presumably for printing eventually against an image, which he doesn't/can't include). But, of course, I can't read his white text against my white screen. The net result as far as I'm concerned is that the text simply isn't there . I understand that Adobe Acrobat Pro has a function with which you can place a coloured layer behind white text in order to read it. But I may not be getting much of this type of thing from my customer - so I would be very happy if I could find a solution in the significantly cheaper CutePDF Pro. Any advice/help/comments out there? Thank you. Quote
Bmapper Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Use the Stamp tool. Create a jpeg that is a solid light grey color. Click on stamp tool>Stamp Image>Browse to your Grey image>click "underlay" in the placement box>click ok. You should be able to see all the white text now. Hope this helps. Quote
European Posted June 25, 2010 Author Posted June 25, 2010 Thank you, Bmapper ... I later submitted a query to the CutePDF Pro Support Line (which initially I wasn't aware of), and they gave me substantially the same advice. The information solves my problem ... ... thanks again. Quote
