Gear teeth texture

Hey guys/gals?

 

 

I'm looking for a gear teeth texture for my model?

 

I'm basically going to be wrapping it around cylinder to give the affect of gear teeth, but keeping poly count down so i don't actually have teeth in the scene?

 

 

Any links, info much appreciated.

You want to wrap a gear texture around a cylinder?

Can you post an example of what you're trying to achieve?

I do have gear teeth already in place but they take up far too many polys in the scene, my idea is to delete the teeth and use a texture to save space.

 

 

I also need a texture to give a lead screw type of effect-something like this on cylinder
