Hi, I've been asked to create a test fixture that will repeatidly flex a cable, to check for wear to the point of failiure. I have been asked if I can show a model of the fixture doing this, so i.e. a small movie. Now, as it stands, I know my knowledge of Inventor is great enough to do this, but is it something that inventor could show? This is only a graphical representation, I do not need to get any data from the simulation.

Any help would be much appreciated!! by the way, I'm still using Inventor 2008 Pro!!

You could make an adaptive coil and drive the parameters in Studio. This will give you the look of stretching but you may be able to just get away with driving a flush constraint or something similar to simulate the motion but no stretching.
