Bobzy20 Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 Thanks very much for all your help & taking the time to create illustrations which always helps. In the end the way I created the Sprinkler Head was to do the following: (see illustrations below) Draw the Sprinkler Head profile using the correct dimensions and make sure its Pedited into one Polyline. Revolve the profile 360° and then create the slicing plane at the correct angle and attach using the top quadrant. Slice and separate and delete any bits you no longer need. Now fillet the edge of the Sprinkler Head with the correct radius. Now Shell the Sprinkler Head with the correct wall thickness and remove the small connecting face. Then use the Copy Face command to make a copy of the main face to create the holes. Now move the UCS to the face of Sprinkler Head solid and change the UCS view to current. Draw your first circle with the correct diameter in the centre of your new created face and then use the Rectangular Array command to create the holes needed. Then mirror the holes around the face and Extrude them inwards. Now attached the new face to the Sprinkler Head and remove the duplicated face leaving the holes in place. Now you can Subtract the holes from the Sprinkler Head to finish the job. Note: Remember using a good layering system always helps! Thanks again for all your help guys. Bobzy20 Quote
