Delete a layer prefix

Hi,

 

I have a series of drawings generated in a design package that prefixes an L to the layers is generates. It generates layers in sequential numbers, with layers starting from L100 then L101 etc... I also have a .dws file set up to change layers from the design package standard to my companies CAD standards using the LAYTRANS command.

 

Problem is the .dws was set up without the L prefix on the original layers. There's quite a lot of different layers so dont want to rename manually, is there a way of automatically removing the L prefix from all layers in a drawings?

Try the Rename command

Old Name > L*

Rename to > *
