Tankman Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Try Chapter 40, nice ramp...............so far! http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/course/48-568/2DVideosWEB_files/frame.htm Where are you posting from? Quote
alanjt Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 As a preface, I must admit that I did not read the linked chapter. If you execute the UCS command, use the OBject selection and choose the line/side you wish to dimension, it will set the UCS to that view. From there you can easily label. Command: ucs Current ucs name: *WORLD* Specify origin of UCS or [Face/NAmed/OBject/Previous/View/World/X/Y/Z/ZAxis] <World>: ob Select object to align UCS: Quote

How do you do what? Plot to monochrome or setup a CTB file that's all black/white. Quote

I want to achieve that without having to trim. is it posible? Quote

bdr2k5 Posted April 27, 2010 Author Posted April 27, 2010 I found that is very time comsuming trimming everything, plus if i was to turn off some layers, other parts of my drawing appear incomplete. There's gotta be a way around it! help! I think we can do something with region+subtract and other commands, but i cant seen to make it work thanks for everything guys. Quote
MikeScott Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 is it in 3d, or isometric? If it's isometric, do the trim command using "F" (fence).. (ie- select boundaries, and then when it says to select lines to trim, you type "F") This permits you to draw line segments that will select trim points like a crossing window. If it's 3d, try the Hide command. Quote
