SadisticIron Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I have a drawing of a logo that is in a jpeg format and I want to either some how trace the logo or insert it into autocad so i can cut this logo out on the plasma table. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I am a newbie to all this. Thanks:D Quote

SadisticIron Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 I can do that but once the image is in there I can not adjust, copy or trace it to arcs and lines for cutting on the cnc table. will I have to do this with the layer application. Quote

What software does your Plasma Cutter use? It may or may not have "Raster to Vector" built in which would do the conversion for you. Our Omax waterjet layout software has Intelli-trace but it's a hit and miss proposition depending on how complicated the raster file is. I don't even use it anymore. I did have some success with this application on a clean pdf. I seem to have had better results using pdf rather than jpg. Give it a try. http://www.aidecad.com/ KC Quote
