VisDak
Hi all, Good day i just notice about leaders clashes on other text or dimension, is it possible to break a leader by not xploding or creating an extension line, (on dimension we can break by using dimbreak but on leader we dont have) is this possible to break the leader similar with dimension by creating route? kindly see image for sample drawings, hopefully it can be done many thanks
BearDyugin
Mtext: Properties -> Text -> Hide the background -> Yes Dimension: Properties -> Text -> Fill Color -> Background Text: Express Tools -> command textmask Everything else: command _wipeout translation may not be accurate
lpseifert
You can use Dimbreak with a Multileader.
alanjt
You can use Dimbreak with a Multileader. What!??!?!?! I had no idea.
tzframpton
What!??!?!?!I had no idea. Alan, there is no possible way you didn't know this. You know EVERYTHING about ACAD my friend. Quit trying to fool us.

Quit trying to fool us. LoL If only that were true. I've been hooked on this program since I was 18 (r14). Dad owned the company, so I got in early. This May will mark my 28th birthday and 10 years of AutoCAD.
alanjt
BTW Tannar, I was watching American History X the other night and thought about how I hadn't seen you on here in a while. It's good to see you're still here.

Yeah I browse at least once a day, but to be completely honest I kinda stopped "helping" because most times when I did, guys like you or Lee would post some badass easy custom LISP or VBA routine that went far and above my answer, lol. So I just try and stick to specific MEP questions now.... give or take a few other normal ACAD Q's.

So I just try and stick to specific MEP questions now.... give or take a few other normal ACAD Q's. Oh man, I never meant to step on your toes. I strongly push using/learning the core possibilities of AutoCAD. If you notice, even when a routine is posted, I will point out, when applicable and I know how, that the question at hand can be solved by core AutoCAD commands/procedures. I'm just as bad as the rest of the bunch in throwing a quick LISP out there when a little additional knowledge of the program could take a person much farther. This is a testament that far too much code is thrown around. We're creating a generation of CAD users that rely on a million LISP routines (and the people who create them) instead of learning the possibilities of the program itself. For that, I am truly sorry. Please, do not stop putting your 2 cents in.
tzframpton
For that, I am truly sorry. Alan!! Do NOT feel bad mi amigo.... it was more a joke than anything. Hell, the real reason is because I've been working 70+ hours a week right now. We have three huge B.I.M. jobs, one of which I'm managing a Navisworks 3D Spatial Coordination among all trades involved. That's the real reason... I just like giving the guys on a much higher level than I a little elbow to the ribs every now and again. I know where I stand in this forum, and I know I'm considered one of the more elite CAD users even though I am still discovering small things here and there. So sorry, didn't mean to get you confused with my joke there....

So sorry, didn't mean to get you confused with my joke there.... Ah HAH! The truth comes out. I wish we were that slammed with work. Hell, I'm sure the only reason I'm still here is because I'm part-time, the only one that can do the Survey and Engineering work, fix the server/computers, write code that saves us lots of time, know more about Civil 3D than the rest of the bunch, etc. The last company I worked for went from 5 offices, each having at least 100 employees, to 2 offices, one of which had 3 employees and when I left, our branch had gone from 150 to 20 people. I sensed the sarcasm (99% of what comes out of my mouth is), but there was some truth in it and what I said still stands.
