my eek-squeek (mouse) playin up in autocad 2008

HELP!

 

Just had my computer at work upgraded from AutoCAD 2004 to 2008.

 

Once the installation was complete, i went to customise the layout as am stuck using 1 screen, however now since the upgrade, whenever I press the mousewheel down I get the right click custom menu instead of being able to pan, and i can't double-click to do a zoom extents,

does anybody know how to set a mouse up so it will go back to pan nd zoom and not menu's???

Have you checked the system variable MBUTTONPAN? It should be set at 1 for panning whilst holding the wheel down.
