ReMark Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Top view? Do you mean the cut-away section? Normally you do not draw that until after drawing the plan view. A9Tech is an IntelliCAD based program. It should definitely have a way to construct a polygon. Look in the Help file. Quote
ReMark Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I do not agree with the way the two holes on the right are shown in the 3D version GeoBuilder posted back on 19th Apr 2010. Look at the 2D (length-wise) section and you'll see what I mean. Quote

endlasuresh Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 i searched in help files and their is nothing about polygon.Ill look later or else will draw in autocad.Ill update this thread soon Regards Suresh Quote
ReMark Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 No Polygon command and they still have the nerve to call it a CAD program? No wonder why it is free. OK. So here is what you do. Draw the polygon yourself. Each side will be 25.00 units long and the angle between any two sides will be 120 degrees. You can do that can't you? Remember it is 6-sided and should fit inside a circle with the diameter of 50.00 units. Quote
endlasuresh Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 its hard to understand newbies with this a9tech.only command prompts are helpful to draw anything.I searched in this forum and got hints to draw a line at degrees.http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7356 only easy solution for drawing looks autocad I have drawn that polygon and line but i need those two lines to draw which are in blue color in the below image.I will continue on this diagram untill i finish.I have spended more time to search for polygon but no answer for a9tech.It looks they may have command or it may be in pro version Quote
ReMark Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Sorry but I do not see any blue colored lines. Could you be referring to the three-sided object just to the left of the polygon? Quote
JD Mather Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 No Polygon command and they still have the nerve to call it a CAD program? No wonder why it is free... Pro/E doesn't have a polygon tool. No wonder they have been all but buried by modern CAD programs, Quote
endlasuresh Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Sorry but I do not see any blue colored lines. Could you be referring to the three-sided object just to the left of the polygon? yes that is the one have to be finish also i got autocad 2010 but when i was drawing i cant zoom in.can you tell how to zoom in I mean the image should become small so that i can view whole drawing.i am asking this in autocad 2010 Quote
ReMark Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Zooming in will cause the image to get larger not smaller. Zooming out will do the opposite. The easiest way to zoom in AutoCAD these days is to use the scroll wheel on your mouse. If you do not have a scroll wheel then I suggest typing "Z" (for zoom) followed by "W" (for Window) or "O" (for Object). Then there are the options "A" (for All), "E" (for Extents) and "P" (for Previous). Those five are the most common. Quote
ReMark Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 This is what I believe you are asking about. Correct me if I am wrong. Quote
f700es Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 If the OP (original poster) needs a good free CAD program they might want to look at DoubleCAD XT. A9Tech was a good start but it seems to be missing some very basic and useful commands Quote
