SanDamiano Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I have blueprints in a .dwg format that I am using Autocad 2006 to isolate the floorplan and labels. I wish to increase the text size of the labels in relation to the floorplan. I select the layer with the text labels, but when I go to select all, no objects are found. How do I increase the text labels if they are not considered objects? I am a total beginner, so I apologize if I haven't described the problem clearly enough. Thanks! Quote
smorales02 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Click on one of the labels and go to properties (ctrl-1) and what does it say? Text, Mtext, etc... Quote
SanDamiano Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 clicking on one of the labels is not so simple; it is not allowing me to select the text label; by following your instruction the box that appears says "no selection". Thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate that! Quote
smorales02 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Is it an XREF that your working with??? Quote
SanDamiano Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 Some further information; I discovered that the text is part of a block; I am now in a block editor. I can change individual text labels' size now. Is there a way to change the size of all text labels in a block at once? Quote
SanDamiano Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 (I had to look up real quick to figure out what an xref was) As far as I can tell, it is not an xref (external reference file). I am not sure though, how to verify if that is indeed the case. Thanks! Quote
smorales02 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 If it took you into a block editor when you double clicked on it that its a block and not an xref....you can alwasy double check by typing XR in the command line and see if anything is loaded.... As far as changing the height of text throughout multiple blocks, I believe it can be done but Im drawing a blank right now... Quote
