Solid Model of Tubing

I am trying to create something like this...

in solidworks...

Im not sure what the steps are to get there but my thoughts are to create the solid (the tubing with the ribs, then shell it out) then some how bend it. Is there a way to do this in solid works?

You can create a sketch and revolve that(inside and out) or shell it. then use the Insert>features>Flex to bend it.

Awh... Sweet, that's the command I was looking for. Thanks!

As another method if you drew one ring and one flat(if that makes sense) you can do a curve driven pattern for the tube. It may be a little easier to control the model rather than bending it with Flex. It all depends on the end result you are looking for though.

You might use a cosmetic texture rather than modeling the ribs - from a bit of a distance you can't tell the difference and cuts down on processing time.
