Vent34 Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 Hi Shift1313, I am having a little difficulty with the screw thread in that it seems to slide forward faster that it has turned (a bit out of sync) if you will. Can you please advise on where I might be going wrong. Excellent tut by the way really very well set out and has helped me no end, Much Thanks shift. Quote
shift1313 Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 When you insert the joint and enter the Pitch, that should match up. What was the pitch of your thread? i know ACME thread pitch and thread width are the same but I dont have your model here with me at work. Quote
Vent34 Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 Hi shift, Im going to try again I think I know what I have done wrong now. My pitch is 6mm I entered 1 that could be the problem me thinks. Cheers. Quote
Vent34 Posted March 16, 2010 Author Posted March 16, 2010 Hi, I have sorted the rotation issue out now and its really comming together well. Thanks for all your help guys not forgetting Shift1313's detailed examples and patience . I am now trying to create a better screw thread as the one I currently have seems to pan a bit rather than being a true square thread. Anyhow thanks very much to all that helped . Regards. Quote
