So here is the deal, Most/all of my lines are 3D polylines as my drawings are all 3D, now I am looking for a way to give a 3D polyline a say Dashed line type and for it to show up when viewing the lines (traditionally viewing in plan view) I don't know if this is possible or not, but I have looked around for a good solution for awhile with no avail, help!

Thanks

Cheers.

3D polylines can be assigned any linetype, but will only display as continuous.

One workaround is to copy each one in place to a different layer, then explode them all so that the linetypes will display. Then vary the layer visibility depending on whether you need the 3D component or the linetypes to display.

Another workaround... Just before you get ready to plot, save the drawing. Then explode the 3D polylines, then plot. The linetypes will show up. Then either quit without saving or UNDO.
