dwelch Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I have attached a .jpg file to my project. It is a scan of a plan. I am drawing over it. When I attempt to plot it, I briefly see the message "Attempting to Cancel". The sheet then comes out of the printer blank. Same thing happens if I try to print as a .pdf, a blank .pdf is produced. I just did this same thing a month or so ago and it worked fine. Nothing has changed as far as hardware or software since then. Any thoughts? Quote
Pablo Ferral Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I had a problem like that at a previous firm. The problem we had was not enough memory at the printer end. Does it print OK with smaller files? Quote
dwelch Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 Thanks for the response, however I don't think this is the problem as the same thing happens when I try to print it to a .pdf. Quote
nukecad Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Could be your printer driver - some postscript (PSL*) drivers have trouble with pdfs and bitmaps; they are optimised more for text than graphics. I have had this problem in the past and just changed the printer driver to a PCL6 driver which solved the problem. Quote
dwelch Posted February 16, 2010 Author Posted February 16, 2010 Thanks for the help. I'll try that. Quote
