no grips on MT text box

having troubles with all of my text in one drawing

 

when I go to edit, there are no grips to stretch the box to add more text

 

there is just a box around the text but no grips, any thoughts?

is the width of the Mtext 0? Try setting the width to something else. The grips should appear.

the text itself is not 0, its 1

 

how do you change the MT width?

Command:

MTEXT Current text style: "Standard" Text height: 0.2000

Specify first corner:

Specify opposite corner or [Height/Justify/Line spacing/Rotation/Style/Width]: W

Specify width: 1

You can change the width in the Properties manager.

okay i tried both of those, dont think thats the problem

there is a strange looking box around the text when I edit (looks different then normal text edit box)

What does "list" report for the mtext?

 

Are 9 Internet Site pages open distracting

also, what are your settings for "Grips", could be they are turned off.

 

The edit box isn't necessarily a sign of a problem, looks like mine..

lol......yes I have 9 internet sites open (researching something) I have cad open and I am rendering something in KT, and everything is running great.....got to love an HP

 

how do I change the grip settings?

k, i have tried it at 1 and 0, and that did not work

 

when i highlight the text, there is only 1 grip point........arent there normally 4?

Click on the little rule icon in the tool bar to be able to dynamically re-size your text when in the WYSIWG Mtext editor.
