mesh lines.jpg

Hi. I want to print a clean line-drawing (from paperspace) without seeing the mesh lines. What do I need to change to the settings please? Strangely that the mesh lines are not appear on the screen but only on the prints.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. Thankyou Iskalipsi.

Set as instructed. The lines at the bends have gone, but on the cone still there.

you're welcome dreamer. Do you mean the cone on the top? How was that created? Is that a solid?

Yes, the cone on the top. It is created by: Draw/Modelling/Meshes/Ruled Mesh

I don't know how that happens,i have tried it and the lines on the cones don't hide. :D Maybe it has some settings that needs adjustment. One suggestion, try to draw that cone using REVOLVE command.

I got it. The lines not show using REVOLVE on the cone. Truly thankful.

But which 3D command I should use to create the transition piece? The piece between the cone and the rectangular duct, which bottom is a rectangular shape and the top is circle.

You're welcome dreamer.Try using the LOFT command for your other problem.Hope this helps :D

I am sorry that I should have checked also result of the prints. When send to print, all lines appears on both the newly created REVOLVE cone and the LOFT transition eventhough I set to 3D Hidden. The lines not appear on the screen.:(

Hi iskalipsi

My problem has fixed. I searched within this forum and found:

Try...

DISPSILH

from AutoCAD itself: Controls display of silhouette curves of solid objects in * Wireframe mode. Also controls whether mesh is drawn or suppressed when a solid object is hidden.
It toggles on and off *(0=off & 1=on)

I set to "1" because existing is "0". Surprisingly all lines now hide when print, on the RESOLVE & LOFT created items whereas those created by mesh still the same. But why I have to do the opposite to get the result?

Thank you again iskalipsi for your help every step.
