spur Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 Hi neecotrack, Thanks we have begun to use this today. If this block was loaded several times onto a floor plan and a revision was required to it to add an item and give it text what would be the best route to do this? If it was through block editior so all the loaded blocks on the drawing are revised could you give us steps as we cannot seem to add tags and get them to show on the drawing even by setting the dialog box as above. Thanks again for your time and help. Quote
chulse Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 very usefull. You can add or move attributes when you redefine a block but they only become redefined on newly inserted blocks. If you ATTSYNC your block all existing instances also update. Dave, Is that the same as doing BATTMAN > Sync? Quote
dbroada Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Cary, I think it is. I never use BATTMAN and only recently discovered ATTSYNC. Quote
neekcotrack Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Then I am not sure why it won't show up on yours!? Quote

If we have carried out revisions to the block and add text attributes for the revised object we then ATTSYNC to update the inserted blocks. On doing so the revised text attribute is ok in any of the mirrored blocks but the orginal text becomes unreadable and mirrors itself. We have cheked the properties and made sure backward is not set to 'yes' Any ideas on why this would be happening???????????? Quote
