ReMark
There must be an IMPORT command right? Looking at the above it appears you are trying to OPEN the file not IMPORT the file. There is a difference. Yeah, I just checked. Under FILE select IMPORT. Acad files can be imported in dwg or dxf format.

ReMark
Well my version of Sketchup, under Files of Type lists ACAD Files (*.dwg, *.dxf). Not sure why your copy doesn't show the same. What version are you running? Freebie or Pro? I'm running Pro version 6.4.112.

Thanks Find a file format that AutoCAD will export to that is on the list freebie Sketchup will allow you to import. JPG might be one. There's probably one or two more. f700es
Going forward in Google SU only the Pro version will import .dwg/.dxfs. There is an add-on for this but you better get while they still offer it. http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=161784 Good luck

f700es
Can't remember, it was a few years ago. I came from W-S and crossed the rivers and went sort of North West. It was not very large. It was in the fall and the leaves were turning, very nice little drive for me
