Vanslayer1 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Hello I was wondering what the best way is to show more than one profile in the same profile view (i.e. Existing features such as left/right ditches, CL road, edge of pavement). These features are not equal offset distances along the whole alignment. How do I show everything in one view without creating individual alignments and overlaying profile views? Very confused Quote
rustysilo Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I believe you will need to create alignments for each item you wish to show in your profile. How are you going about your design? ie What is your process? Quote
Vanslayer1 Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 O.k. here goes We've used an existing ditch line to determine our lowest elevation of proposed CL of Road. (can't cut because of Gas Line). So... On the profile we need to show: Existing CL of ditch (connected survey points) Existing CL of road (connected survey points) Proposed CL of Road (baseline) The existing CL's are not parrallel at all. How do I show three "Alignments" in one profile view along a common chainage? I am new to civil 3d and am making good progress, I just need help with certain steps. I appreciate your efforts, thanks. rustysilo Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I'm afraid you'll have to create the alignments and profiles then superimpose them onto your main profile view. I know of no other way. Quote
