feargt Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Hi, I have a 5 dynamic blocks with attributes in a drawing. They are in 5 different Layouts. (Titleblock text) When I select the block I can see the attribute values in the properties window. But on another users machine when he selects the block he does not see the attribute values in the properties window. I assume it is probably a variable or something but I can't seem to find out what it is. I have not seen this issue before. Any ideas? Quote
JoeC Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 This may seem too obvious, but is the attributes section of the properties box "expanded" to display the attributes on the other users machine? (see attachment) Quote
feargt Posted October 31, 2009 Author Posted October 31, 2009 Thanks JoeC, sometimes it can be something so obvious but unfortunately not in this case. I had checked that but there is no "attributes" section showing up on the palette when the block is selected.......and yes there are attributes in this block. Quote
Strix Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 And he is using the same version of AutoCAD? Quote
feargt Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 yes he is, we are both using civil 3d 2008 and both have service pack 2 installed Quote
JoeC Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Hmmm, sounds very strange. More "obvious" possibilities... I don't suppose the other user is viewing the drawing as an xref or inserting the entire drawing as a block? And finally, are you SURE the other user is opening the same drawing? (sometimes we get confused in my office with drawings in a network pending folder vs. the final order project folder) Quote
