Jacko93
Does anybody know anywhere that I can get some free 3D models of people that can be used in AutoCAD or Navisworks? I have had a look at a few on here, but they seem to be of different file types that I can use.
ReMark
Based on a link provided by another forum member I came across this: http://www.archweb.it/dwg/persone/fig_umane_3d/persone_3d.htm I think they are free but I'm not 100% sure. Check it out. Credit goes to Shibuboss for suggesting the website.

ReMark
You're welcomed amigo. Some feedback (pro or con) about the models, etc. would be appreciated.
Jacko93
The models aren't bad actually, a bit jagged, but then I never really searched, I just grabbed the first download I saw that had a picture of 3D people. It is free though, so can't complain. I'm sure a more involved search would turn out better blocks. For the moment though, I am only needing indicative models for a very quick view. In the future though..............
ReMark
Thanks for the update. I have no use for 3D models of people in my line of work. Anyways, all people look the same to me. Now if we were talking about a toaster or a microwave well that would be a different story ( ).
Coosbaylumber
Back during the middle 1990's was a web-site selling blocks of people in either 3D or in 2D. About 25 examples, sitting, standing, running, etc. and each of which could be inserting in to a drawing then exploded. Took the "committee" a good month to decideit was OK, then the same files were free via same site and internet. Nice thing was too in that the people were dimensioned already, but the layer turned off. All were at some Architectural web-site. By then we needed rock textures and Bomanite, and the people were forgotten. Web site still exists as of summer 2009, but the title changed as to what the new web owners were offering for free now. I think fit versions R-10 on up. And, no I do not remember the title for the new or old web site, and the few employees who would are now gone too. Same with the committee. Wm.
