Hello all,

In short I have set all line weight and pen color designations in 2010 plot manager(see atachment) and when I print a drawing to networked printer it overides my prefrences and prints the layer color in my drawing to a black and white printer, i.e. I need all my lines to show up black when plotted, and not different shades of gray.

Thanks,

Chris

Try STYLESMANAGER, then open ACAD.CTB and turn off all 'convert to greyscale' options in either the table view or form view tabs. Check with your CAD Manager first to be sure you're not going to alter the global company settings!

Perhaps your acad.ctb is set to plot each pen color "use object color"? You would need to set all pen colors to use Black, you can select them all at once and make the change, but maybe save the file to acad_mono.ctb.

I don't remember how now, but there is a way to manually go in and have the printer/plotter over ride certain things and only do as instructed. This used to happen when wrong driver was installed, and color signals were sent down the wires to an otherwise B&W machine. Thus you could change things all day long in the dialogue box, and the manual override would then print out as instructed. We would Upgrade (like for Acad), and leave the same printer/plotter going long as it gave reasonable picture. Did not realize our driver was obsolete.
