my osnap settings lose the marker and magnet after several drawings and have to be reset. This seems to happen a lot when I am plotting. Civil 3d also adds a lot of checked settings that I don't want in the osnap dialog box whenever I have to open the options and reset the marker and magnet. Anybody else have this same problem or perhaps a solution?

Thanks.

No, never seen anything like that. Have you tried removing any startup stuff, including acad.lsp and acaddoc.lsp, to see if the problems go away?

my IT guy says I should create a profile in the options with my usual osnap settings and then make sure that it is always current. Never had to deal with a profile before but its worth a try. Leaving the program open when I leave for the day might help as well. Will let you know if those things work.

P.S. nested xrefs suck for those working behind you.
