ReMark
Maybe an issue with your plotter drivers? When you say it plots only part of the drawing could you be more specific? Is it plotting only a portion of an object? Is it plotting some layers but not others? Is it not plotting some text that it should be plotting? Have you checked plot settings? Have you physically inspected the connection between the computer and the plotter or are you plotting over a network? What version of AutoCAD were you running previously? Did you have problems plotting from that version as well?
ziemerd
I think I'm having the same problem. I've attached a JPG with the top picture being the Print Preview and the bottom picture is the drawing in Paper Space. I have gotten it to work just fine before but now it doesn't matter if I choose Display, Extents, or Layout. I checked the other plotter and I get the same thing. ziemerd
Here is a JPG of my Plot Settings. Please let me know if there is something I am missing. Thanks. Dawn
sparkyuk
might be me being a bit thick here but isnt that picture showning the max size of your plot as a dotted line and isnt it over hanging the same distance as it is cut off ?,in which case its to big for the paper you are printing to ? ziemerd
Well...I think I'm the one who is thick. I trimmed the ends of the decal to make it fit in the dashed lines and it worked fine. Thanks.
sparkyuk
scale to fit is the correct way to do it isnt it ?
ReMark
scale to fit is the correct way to do it isnt it ? Only if you don't mind not having a drawing that is plotted to scale.
sparkyuk
dont matter how big your paper is, it can still fit in scale if you scale it correctly to the paper size, its because it was scaled to big for the paper size isnt it ? or did I miss something ? ReMark
I think we said the same thing differently or I am confusing your "scale to fit" with the plot option of "Fit to paper".
sparkyuk
yes I was saying scale it to fit, not fit to paper you are correct fit to paper is not good if you want it in scale lol
