Hi all,

I'm pretty new to AutoCAD, but I have my page layout and plot style finally all sorted thanks to a .ctb file, but how can i save this so i dont have to put it in the Plotting dialoge box each time, i can chose "previous plot" from the Page Setup drop down box but surely i must be able to save mine so its always there?

Use the page setup manager to setup all your outputs for printing and save it to your dwt file.

Basically a dwt file is your startup template file that you can use.

You should set up all your dimension scales, text styles, plot styles, layers etc as save it in a single template.

That way anytime you start a new drawing, you can select that startup template and it saves you changing all the settings again.

To make a dwt file, set up all the styles, layers, print setups etc and when you go to save the drawing, from the dropdown menu below the file name select .dwt (template)

you can also import things to your .dwt file by using the design centre.

You can also import PageSetups with "psetupin".
