solofusion Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I have a question regarding hatch. The following pictures in the attatchment show what happens to the same hatch in different drawings. The hatch on the right size is fuzzy. It is the same hatch but drawn in different drawings. Do you guys have any idea what is the problem and how to fix it? I am using both LT 2009 and Autocad 2004 and it happens in both versions. The drawing was originally done by another firm. Thanks MH Quote
JerryG Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I use 2004 LDD at home and have the exact same problem but only on rock type hatch. So far I have come up with nothing to fix it. Quote
hazardman Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 being far away from 0,0 will do this...if the pline is not closed it may do this...just some thoughts anyway... Quote
JerryG Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 In LDD 2004 this happens with every drawing every time with the rock hatch. It dosen't matter if I use Plines or dont but I never thought of being to far away from 0,0. I will give that a try and see what happens. Thanks! Quote
hazardman Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I never thoughtof being to far away from 0,0.I will give that a try and see what happens. Thanks! if it is that i think creating a UCS close by the "offending" area will fix it but that would mean you will have to switch UCS's to hatch things... Quote
solofusion Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Thanks Hazardman, The hatch works when I create it closer to the UCS 0,0,0. Quote
alanjt Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 dealing with drawings that are mostly done it state plane, i have come across this issue. if you set the origin just close to your drawing for the hatch, it will correct itself. Quote
MarkCalvert Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Use the command "snapbase" and click near the area. Rehatch. Quote
mugshot Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 greeting!!! i have the same prob. anyway, try to open the file u like to have a stone hatch in an READ ONLY file in cad 2006. if ur using a full scale... better.. but in a smaller id rather advise you to have it scaled up firstand then hatch, then scaled it down including the hatch drawn. if it still does not apply... try to outline the part to be hatched and copy to another new cad dwg file. warning: scaled hatches is not applicable in match properties. JerryG Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Thanks Everyone. Snapebase and moving closer to 0,0 worked great! Thats why I love this forum. Ive been living with that for over a year now. Quote
djdrobins Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I found that the "Hatch Origin" location needs to be near the hatched object. Down the bottom left there is a "Hatch Origin" area. At the moment it is probable set to "Use Current Origin" try and use the selection under it and click a point to somewhere close to the - to be - hatched area. The UCS doesn't change, just the origin for that one piece of hatch. It worked for me, all my gravel and conc hatches kept coming in as crap. De Quote
nocturne00 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Here's another solution so you wont have to move your drawing close to the origin. Cheers http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=27276 Quote
ar.sejal Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Hello. I have encountered the same problem. Try to change the scale of the hatch pattern using the arrows in the hatch editor. It always works for me. Quote
