Lee Mac Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Hmm.. that is weird, try running an audit on your original drawins, and say yes to fix errors. Quote
steve 'o' Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 Still no luck, i found 24 issues on one of the drawing which all cleared! Still cant see drawings on screen once i have xattach 'ed. I assume just picking insertion point on screen should work? Quote
sparklerach Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Can you print them to dwf. Because in design review you can open one dwf and then use the compare command. It will lay one drawing on top of the other and show any differences in a different colour, if the drawings are the same scale etc. Quote
steve 'o' Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 I give up!!! Deisgn review will not download as keps coming up with an error! Thanks for attempted help! Quote
Eatonpcat Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 How can you give up... Doesn't the work still need to get done?? Quote
CADMASTER1128 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Steve, Why don't you just pick the easiest thing and overlay the 2 drawing? Quote
Cad64 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I have carried that out but keep getting this message ''' ** Undefined block #-1 ''' And can not see anyhing on the screen? Does insertion point and scale stay at defualt? Thanks for help! Yes, insertion point and scale stay at default. Have you tried doing a Zoom Extents after inserting? You may also want to Zoom Extents the original drawings, before xreffing them, to make sure you don't have any stray objects out in space somewhere. Quote
Cad64 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 For a possible solution to the "Undefined block #-1" issue, try WBLOCK to save out a copy of both drawings to new files. This should get rid of the null entities in your files. Quote
steve 'o' Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Thanks for all the help gents managed to get it to work! No doubt i will be back on here very soon with another stupid question! Quote
