grandmaster87 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 how do i get rid of the 4th space there... its a viewport but i dont need it in my drawing... the 4th one is the one of the bottom right hand side in isometric Quote
grandmaster87 Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 thanks bro...i seem to have a problem. look at my top view..from the top you wont be able to see those holes..but when i try and delete them they are removed from all the other viewports? i really need to finish this cad tonight Quote
Cad64 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 The holes are on their own layer, correct? So just activate the "Top View" viewport and freeze the "holes" layer in that viewport. They will still be visible in the other viewports. If the holes are not on their own layer, create a new layer, move the holes to the new layer and then freeze the new layer in the viewport. Quote
deres Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 OK, select the desired viewport and type "PR" (Properties) Go to "Shade Plot" and select "Hidden", "3d Hidden" or whatever suits you. The results are not obvious, to see how it will be printed, go to File>Print>preview... Quote

deres Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I think that the entire drawing is only one 3d model... Quote

grandmaster87 Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 ok is it possible for just one of the viewports for me to edit it only.. i want to create a large block. place it through the centre of the viewport , subtract it and then i will have a sectioned view of it. i need the sectioned view for the front view of this drawing...wouldnt that be alot easier ? Quote
deres Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Now I'm confused...how am I right, and what Cad64 suggested worked??? Quote

Since you are not very experienced with 3d modelling I would suggest to draw plan view, side view and section separetely in 2d, in order to place dimensions, descriptions etc. Quote
Cad64 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 This thread got way off track from its original question about title blocks, so I have split it into two separate threads. Grandmaster, please post new threads when you have questions that are unrelated to the original topic. Quote
Cad64 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Now I'm confused...how am I right, and what Cad64 suggested worked??? He probably froze that entire bottom piece, with the holes through it. It must be a separate piece on its own layer? Quote
grandmaster87 Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 i just froze the layer in the selected viewport and the drainage holes went away cause i assigned them to a layer. Quote
