marlon Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 I need the shape only (2D), I don't need a 3D egg. Anyone? thanks! Quote
nocturne00 Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 is this a trick question? im not sure if there's a direct way of doing it in one command but you could draw a circle and an ellipse then some do some trimming to get that shape Quote
ReMark Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Raed this (link previously posted by Cad64)... http://www.mathematische-basteleien.de/eggcurves.htm Quote
Tankman Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 I need the shape only (2D), I don't need a 3D egg. Anyone? thanks! ReMark's link was excellent however, "What kind of eggs do you need?" I'm eating 'n drinking my nest egg. Quote
JoeC Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I need the shape only (2D), I don't need a 3D egg. Anyone? thanks! Simple...just use the EGG command! Despite ReMark's link (obviously created by someone who had the same question before...or entirely too much time to spare), the egg is a difficult item to draw! I did manage to draw a helluva pear however! Quote
JoeC Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 ...but seriously, like Nocturne said, I think the ellipse command would be the best way. I don't see any quick and easy way. Attached is my attempt if you want to use / modify it. Eggshape.dwg Quote
dinarele Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 and I would fill it with 2 colours hatching to look more 3d on 2d Quote
