bds808 Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Does anyone know of an Autodesk CAD program that's meant to run on a PDA? I'm going to be doing as-builts of buildings and would like to draft the floorplan as I measure. I have found some 3rd party programs that will do this, but we would like to stick with Autodesk since we already have an account, etc. thanks, BDS808 Quote
bds808 Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 I don't even have the PDA (or Tablet if that's a better way to go) yet. Starting from scratch! Quote
ronjonp Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Does it have to be a PDA? Why not a laptop or netbook (since you already have software that will work on those)? Quote
Tankman Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I've used PocketCad on my Axim on occassion when in the field. Axim running MS Mobile 5. Not bad but, clean up once back at the laptop or desktop. Quote

No it doesn't have to be a PDA, but I would like something that's easy to carry, and use at the same time, all day long. Having to carry something with a flip up screen might get in the way and my guess easier to drop. Quote
Ryder76 Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 What about this.... http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/hpnetbook/overview.jsp One of the guys in my office has one and he runs ACAD 2009 on it. If it will handle that it will handle just about anything. Quote
