ReMark Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Stretch 3D-Window? Do you mean a viewport or are you trying to stretch a 3D object? Quote
ReMark Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 3D grips will work on certain objects but there is another alternative. Check out this tutorial about editting solids: http://www.we-r-here.com/cad/tutorials/level_3/3-11.htm Quote
Lee Mac Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Does 2009 have the "gizmos"? I think they can be quite useful for 3D transformations... Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 When you stretch an object whether it is a viewport (in paper space) or geometry (in model space) you make your selection with a "crossing window" by first clicking to the right of your objects and then clicking to the left of the objects. Other selection methods include using a crossing polygon for seleting a more complicated boundary. One way of specifying a distance after your selection is to enter 0,0 as your base point and then 2,0 as your destination point. This will result in strecthing you object 2 units to the right. Direct distance entry is another approach which I am not familiar with. Review the help file. Quote
