Grenco Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 One every keyboard we have a very nice button: Great! But I want to change it's function in autoCAD.. How can I do this? In the cui you only can change F1 to F12 keys or a combination with CTRL or Shift + xxx. In acad.pgp you only can set the shortcommand on the commandline, not a button on your keyboard. I want to set the delete command to "erase".. So if i press delete, the erase command starts. Thanks for your help! Quote

MarcoW Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Just curious, why would you want to do that? I mean "E" starts the erase command... and whenever objects are selected you cán erase with delete... Quote
Grenco Posted July 1, 2009 Author Posted July 1, 2009 a similar question was asked here - http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=699461 Hmm.. That's a bit abracadabra for me Just curious, why would you want to do that?I mean "E" starts the erase command... and whenever objects are selected you cán erase with delete... See: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?p=249707 And: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=37771 Some of the blocks we use have attributes wich sometimes are "Checked". Wich means the block contains checked information in our database. I want to check the attribute before the user deletes something from his drawing. If that object is checked, the user gets a message in his screen if he want's to continue and also delete it from the database. I redefined the erase-command to the "select" command (LISP). But when you use the delete button on your keyboard, it overrules the redefined erase command, so my vba to check those attributes isn't started and the objects are deleted from the drawing. Quote
