E-Transmit From 2010 to 2009

Hi,

as the title suggests, the issue here is to make an e-transmit from a set of 2010 dwg's and the transmital settings that are not making a good e-transmit to a 2009 Civil 3D user which dwg's are saved in .dwg2007.

So when I just try to make an e-transmit with the transmittal setups set to save in 2007 dwg, the C3D 2009 user doesn't see surfaces and profiles, although he sees the profile views. So, first attempt to fix everything was to take the same transmital settings but to scroll it to "AutoCAD 2007 Drawing Format with Exploded AEC Objects", the "Maintain visual fidelity for annotative objects" box is checked, could that checked box be the problem because with these settings the user sees everything but now it is exploded and all that is annotative such as labels or profiles views elevations are very small.

Is there somebody that had to make e-transmits from C3D 2010 to a C3D 2009 user without having these kinds of problems and could help me with the proper settings?

C3D 2009 is incompatible with C3D 2010. You cannot convert C3D 2010 drawings back to C3D 2009.

The best you can do is export to Autocad 2007 format, and export the LandXML, then reimport the LandXML into C3D 2009 to recreate things like Surfaces and Profiles. This may leave a lot to be desired, but trying to open the 2010 drawing in 2009 causes all C3D commands to shut down, so there aren't a whole lot of options.

Also, beware the bug in C3D 2009, where it does not correctly import Profiles from LandXML - it loses the Profile names. You can edit the Profiles after you import the LandXML, to fix the names, but it's annoying.
