Cad64
Ok, after finishing my clock for the current competition, (If you haven't seen it yet, you can check it out here), I decided to do another clock. You can't hang this one on your wall though. As always: Designed in Autocad 08 Modeled in 3DS Max 9 Rendered with Mental Ray Rendered images composited in Photoshop Total time spent on project = 3 days

Mr T
Have you ever seen the wall mounted ones ? The highest village in Europe, St Veran @ 2200m, has them on all the houses. Nick http://www.beyond.fr/villages/stveran.html

Cad64
Thanks for the comments guys. This project actually ended up being a bit more complicated that I intially thought it would be. There was quite a lot of intricate detail work in this piece that I didn't really take into consideration. I thought this would be a walk in the park, but it ended up being a bit of a challenge. But since I'm always up for a challenge, it was good fun and it ended up being a nice addition to my small, but growing, collection. I've never seen those wall mounted sundial's before. I didn't even know that was possible. So there ya go, I learned something new today.
rustysilo
Wikipedia has a pretty good article that covers the different types. Sundial

SLW210
What camera did you use to take those pics? Just kidding, but those would be great for some fake or foto comps. I need to get busy and practice my rendering skills. Just awesome stuff! No need for me to enter the contest.
Cad64
Is that why nobody's posting any clocks? I guess I should have waited to post my entry until the very end? I didn't mean to scare everybody away. Maybe I should stay out of the competitions.
SLW210
Well, the reason I haven't got one for the comp is time. Just like the previous comp, as soon as the comp got started, I suddenly went from no work load to doing 3 things at once. I still plan on entering (though I will lose), if time at work allows. But, yes, you have some intimidating renders.
