SEANT Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 The only way I can do it in 2004 is via EdgeSurf as in attached. HypParabo.dwg Quote
SEANT Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I guess splitting and mirroring was not needed. I wasn't sure EdgeSurf would interpolate correctly, but it seems like it does. HypParabo_SingleSurf.dwg Quote

SEANT Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Hey I remember this thread. Back when I was still toiling with AutoCAD 2004. Actually, I liked that release. But, in deference to shiny new features, here’s a hyperbo-parabo AutoCAD 2009 style. This lofted surface is more easily converted to a solid, if that were a requirement. HypParabo_LoftSurf.dwg Quote
CM Hew Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I have done some drawings of the hyperbolic paraboloid and also elliptical paraboloid using mesh command using calculated data fed from EXCEL in AutoCAD 2004. It this what you are looking for? 3D Equation Elliptical and Hyperbolic Paraboloid.dwg Quote

It this what you are looking for? That is really amazing. How did you get excel to make those shapes in Autocad? Quote
