Printing to Adobe Acrobat from C3D

When I plot to the Adobe PDF plotter some of my lines appear as arcs. Its very strange. If I delete the line and recreate it but with the reverse bearing it looks fine in the PDF print. AutoCAD C3D 2009 SP3.1 with Adobe Acrobat 7.1.2. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

That does sound strange. I have had phantom lines appear in my PDF's before. Overkill fixed the problem for me.

try using a different driver to create the pdf.

I've experienced a wide array of problems with printing and publishing, including that one.

Never really figured it out. But when I get really weird results like that, I try different PDF drivers, such as the DWG to PDF from Autocad vs. the AdobePDF vs. one of the free ones. I've also had luck sometimes printing from C3D to DWF, then printing the DWF to PDF using AdobePDF.

There was one time, though, that I could not get a PDF created no matter what I did. Somehow, that time, I managed to create a TIFF file that worked, though. I think I printed it to DWF, then printed the DWF to TIFF using MS Document Writer or something like that. I forget now exactly.

And as far as why I have seen that problem only a couple of times, on certain drawings, and can then print many drawings with no problems... Or why one PDF driver works fine on one drawing but not another, and with the next drawing it's the other way around, and then the third drawing has to be plotted to DWF first... No idea. It's a complete mystery. Just part of the Joys of C3D.
